UNILAG graduate blamed for assaulting students knows destiny Aug. 17

An Ikeja Sexual Offenses and Domestic Violence Court has fixed Aug. 17 as judgment date for the situation including a graduate of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) blamed for assaulting two students of the organization.

Equity Abiola Soladoye on Monday fixed the date in the wake of hearing the Final Written Addresses of the safeguard and arraigning counsel. “The case is dismissed to Aug. 17 for judgment,” Justice Soladoye said.

The safeguard counsel, Mr Fred Onyeka, had in a last composed location dated Dec. 5, 2019, asked the court to release and clear the respondent of the three-count charge as a detriment to him.

As per the charges, he had sex with Student Y without her assent on Jan. 31, 2018 at his home at No. 6, Ajileye St., Bariga, Lagos.

On Jan. 17, 2018, he had unlawful sex with Student X around the Distance Learning Institute in UNILAG, Akoka, Lagos. He additionally supposedly genuinely attacked Student X by hitting her multiple times on the face just as choking and gnawing her back The offenses contradicted Sections 173 and 260(1)(2) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
