“This is Basketmouth and a fan” Bovi takes swipe at AY as he react to their old picture

Nigerian comedian, Bovi Ugboma popularly known as Bovi has reacted to the trending old photo of Basketmouth and Bovi.

Kemi Filani reported that internet sleuths had dug out old photos of Basketmouth, and Ayo Makun following the former claim.

Basketmouth in an interview with media personality, Nedu stated that he has never taken a photo with Ay before. He also claimed that the two have never been friends.

Proving him wrong, netizens dug out the old photo of the ace comedians.

Reacting to it, Bovi, who is close friends with Basketmouth stated that the picture was of a celebrity and his fan.

According to Bovi, the picture was taken in 2004 and at the time, AY was a fan of Basketmouth.

He pleaded with Ay not to be offended by the analysis as he begged him not to call Chude Jideonwo on his behalf.

“This is Basketmouth and a fan! 2004! Ay no vex o! Before you go call Chude for me!”.

Basketmouth addresses his beef with Ay Makun

Kemi Filani reported last night that Basketmouth had finally addressed the long-time beef he had with AY.

Basketmouth, during a podcast with the Honest Bunch crew, disclosed what transpired between himself and AY that made him call off their friendship.

Basket mouth revealed that he and AY had never been friends and they have never had any close or personal relationship with him.

He also disclosed that he came in contact with AY through comedy king, Ali Baba, and he had never mentored him before.

Basketmouth claimed something else, which he will not disclose, happened between him and AY, and no client was involved in their feud.

The father of three alleged that AY was using lies about their feud to promote his upcoming show, stating that is his usual style.

Ay Makun reveals the genesis of his long-standing beef with Basketmouth

AY on his part, in an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, went down memory lane in 2006 when he was still a bachelor and trying to earn a living for himself. He said he stood in for Basketmouth at an event however he didn’t receive his pay of thirty thousand Naira which was gold at the time. Read more here.

He also recounted how he was embarrassed and humiliated at Basketmouth’s wedding.

According to him, he had attended his wedding with his wife but was shocked when he wasn’t allowed to enter the event, as his name wasn’t on the list of guests.

Surprisingly, his wife was allowed to enter as her name was on the guest list. Since her husband couldn’t go in, his wife turned down the invite.

He further revealed how his name would be kicked out of events because Basketmouth was in attendance.
