Senator Ademola Adeleke wins Osun PDP Governorship ticket: The information reaching us that the serving Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Senator Ademola Adeleke has won the Osun PDP Governorship ticket. Ademola Adeleke defeated other aspirants to become the party candidate.

A close delegate disclosed that Senator Ademola Adeleke wins Osun PDP Governorship ticket. The chairman of the election Seriake Dickson, Bayelsa state governor has declared the Senator Ademola Adeleke  winner with 1,569 votes. He defeated the Chairman of Mutual Assurance, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, his closest rival, who initially scored 1,559 votes at the first count.

A  former Secretary to the Osun State Government, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade, scored 52 votes while a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Nathniel Oke, scored three votes.  A total of 56 votes were rejected.

Some aspirants have earlier today stepped down from the race, the likes of Adejare Bello, Sunkanmi Akinlabi, Felix Jumoko, Ayoade Adewepo, Adeolu Durotoye, Jide Adeniji and Lere Akogun are the aspirants who stepped down from the race.

The aspirants who stepped down have directed their delegates to vote for Senator Ademole Adeleke. Fatai Akinbade, Akin Ogunbiyi, Ademola Adeleke and Nathaniel Oke are the four aspirants still in the race.

Adeleke will now battle the candidate of Osun APC Gboyega Oyetola for the governorship race in September 22.
