Welcome to live update of Osun State Governorship election. People of Osun State will decide who govern them after the expiration of Aregbe tenure today. A total of 48 candidates are fighting for the seat. A total of 1,687,492 registered voters at which 1,246,915 voters successfully collected their PVC.

Osun Governorship election is a testing ground for the 2019 General election. Osun State has a total of 3010 polling units, 332 registration areas, 30 local governments, 4,700 card readers and Over 40 local and international observers.

The weather situation is okay generally. There was a little shower early in the day but it stopped before voting started. From Osogbo to Ede, Edunabon to Ife where I am now, their weather is favourable

8.08am: Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke, was accredited and voted at about 8.08am at Abogunde ward 5, Unit 9 In Ede

8. 05 am: Accredited and voting started in some polling units.

8. 00 am: At Orisunmibare Ward 5, Unit 1, in Ede South Local Government Area. The electorate is already seated, waiting to be accredited. Also, security agents and INEC officials are getting modalities ready for accreditation, reports Success Nwogu

At 7 am: Heavy securities have stationed in the major road within the State. Screening the few vehicles on the road.

At 7. 30 am: INEC staff have started arranging both sensitives and Non-sensitives materials. The INEC ad-hoc staff have also gathered in some polling units.
