The acting President of Nigeria Prof Yemi Osinbajo has directed immediate sack of the Director General of Director-General of the Department of State Service, Lawal Daura.
The DSS Operatives have this morning barricaded the National Assembly complex to block the Lawmakers from gaining access into the Assembly Complex.
This had caused a panic in the Nigeria as many people have come to condemned the act. The Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has responded timely by terminating the appointment of the DSS boss Lawal Daura.
This was disclosed by Osinbajo’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande .
Laolu Akande in a statement said, “Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, has directed the termination of the appointment of the Director General, State Security Service, DSS, Mr. Lawal Musa Daura with immediate effect.
”Mr. Daura has been directed to hand over to the most senior officer of the State Security Service until further notice.”
Before the Acting President took the action, he has this morning summoned the Inspector-General of Police and the Director General of Director-General of the Department of State Service, Lawal Daura to the Villa over the blockage of NASS complex.
Both the two security chiefs have reported to have arrived differently to the AP Office. The Inspector-General of Police was the first to arrive at about 12.35 p.m. before the arrival of the DSS Director General at about 1.15 p.m.
What the Acting President discussed with the two Security bosses is not yet in the public domain.
