Nigerians React As FG Shuts Orientation Camp, Sends Corps Members Away Over Coronavirus
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on Wednesday morning shut down all orientation camps nationwide over fears of the coronavirus. The Youth Corps members are forcefully sent away and they will resume in their respective primary assignment.
The Batch A corps members began their orientation on 10th March and were expected to be in their camps for 21 days, but as learnt, that they will be getting their letters posting them to their places of primary assignment, just one week after camping
The coronavirus has so far killed over 7000 persons globally and three cases have been confirmed in Nigeria, although no death has been recorded in the country.
Nigerians have taken to Twitter to make hilarious comments about the development.
We are going home and come no more🎼. No more clarion call, no more double up. I’m not sure of what to miss here tho #nysc pic.twitter.com/Z03pQbzIiL

I honestly believe all nysc Corps Members should be left in camp, at this moment it is quite safer for them. Movement in and out the camp can be controlled.
Now risk of contacting the virus is high because of everyone will intend to travel.#nysc #COVID19
