Nigerian Police, DSS lay siege to Saraki, Ekweremadu’s homes

The breaking news earlier this morning has it that Police, DSS lay siege to Saraki, Ekweremadu’s home. The Punch news report this Operatives of the Department of State Services and men of the Nigeria Police have laid siege to the Abuja homes of President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki; and Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.

The reason behind the siege is unknown but it will not be unconnected to the looming mass defection of the aggrieved lawmaker masterminded the Senate leadership.

The Channel news also reveal that the move is said to be an apparent ploy to prevent them from making it to the National Assembly today because of an alleged plan by lawmakers to decamp from the ruling All Progressives Congress.

It was also noted that Saraki was on his way the Senate President was on his way to report at the Police Headquarters when his convoy was allegedly blocked by the police.

Recall that the Saraki was invited to appear before the kwara State Police headquarter to explain his deed with the Offa bank robbery suspects.
