Leroy Sane praises Manchester City and two former teammates

Leroy Sane has reflected on his time at Manchester City while he was answering questions from fans on Twitter. Sane joined Bayern Munich in July 2020 after four seasons with the Citizens.

The former City star took to Twitter and answered to some questions from fans.

“I’m extremely thankful and proud for my 4 years at City,” he wrote, in response to a question asking what he thought about his time at the Etihad.

“It’s been a really intense and successful time. We’ve won a lot of trophies and I became Young Player of the Year in 2018. I’ve learned a lot and became the player that I am today.”

Praising former teammate Kevin De Bruyne, as well as new attack partner Robert Lewandowski, he said: “to be honest I could name two… @lewy_official and @DeBruyneKev.

“The older Robert gets the better he becomes, that’s incredible. Kevin also had an extraordinary season with many assists and goals.”

Sane also spoke on Ilkay Gundogan: “Yes! He is a great teammate & friend and he was always a good neighbor.”
