Lagos declares Thursday public holiday for Buhari’s visit. The president of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari will on Thursday visit the largest commercial city in Nigeria Lagos. For the visit Lagos State government has declared Tuesday as public and work free day.
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy Mr Kehinde Bamigbetan stated that the declaration was to the enable residents to come out en masse to welcome President Buhari.

There would alse be temporary closure of major roads and diversion of traffic to enable the president moving freely without hitches as declared by the Commissioner of Police in the state, Imohimi Edgal. The routes to be closed are Ikeja, Agege, Maryland, Ikoyi, and Victoria Island.
The President will spend two days in Lagos between Thursday, March 29 and Friday, March 30.
Some of the activites Buhari will performed include;
- He would be attending a colloquium marking the 66th birthday of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu at Victoria Island
- Buhari will official flag-off ceremony for the construction of the Lekki Deep Sea Port Project in Epe.
- He would tour the Eko Atlantic City and inaugurate the Ikeja Bus Terminal, among other engagements.
