Kai Havertz to make Chelsea debut against Brighton
Chelsea kick-start their Premier League season against Brighton and Hove Albion on Monday night.
After spending big this summer, the Blues will be hoping to make a winning start to the new campaign, with Frank Lampard looking to put down a marker ahead of this weekend’s clash against Liverpool.
The clash at the Amex Stadium provides Lampard with a chance to hand competitive debuts to two of his six summer signings.
However, Hakim Ziyech misses out after sustaining an injury at the same stadium several weeks ago in a pre-season friendly, while Ben Chilwell and Thiago Silva are not in contention.
