The Nigeria Center of Disease Control released the number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Nigeria and for the first time the epicentre of coronavirus in Nigeria, the Lagos State record no case after reaching its peck the following day with 70 news cases.
After the NCDC announcement, Lagosians took to social media to celebrate and jubilate the sense of freedom of COVID-19. I remember the prophecy of Daddy Go I mean Pastor Adeboye who said that the journey of normalcy has begun.
On Sunday after Pastor Adeboye’s message, the NCDC announced 86 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria and Lagos state has 70 out the total number. Every hope and peace Adeboye preached turned dim. Faith gradually turning to fear.
However, on Monday night, the NCDC stepped out as usual to give the update of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria. This is what NCDC wrote:
Thirty-eight new cases of #COVID19 have been reported;
23 in Kano
5 in Gombe
3 in Kaduna
2 in Borno
2 in Abia
1 in FCT
1 in Sokoto
1 in Ekiti
As at 11:10 pm 20th April, there are 665 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria.
Personally I double-checked for Lagos State which is the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria, I was shocked to see that Lagos has no new case of the virus moving from 70 to 0.
Nigerians took to Twitter to celebrate a possible relief from lockdown. Let see what some people are saying concerning this on Twitter
If Lagos reports 0 positive tests for 3 consecutive days, I think we should start addressing Babajide Sanwo-Olu as PRESIDENT of Lagos. That title, ‘Governor’ would be too low for him.
