Jubilation as 104 Dapchi schoolgirls released. There was a noise of joy and jubilation in Yobe State especially in the town of Dapchi where about 104 Dapchi girls released to the public.
The Minister of Information and Culture Alhaji Lai Mohammed confirmed that the girls are actually released and they are in good condition. However some of the girls were reportedly dead. While the abductor refused to release one girl for failing to denounce Christainity and they took the girl back.
Lai Mohammed confirmed the release of the School girls while speaking to the State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Wednesday. He said “As of now, I can confirm that 91 girls and one boy have been released. The event is developing. He also confirmed that the girls are dropped in different spot.
When he was asked the kind of negotiation that occur between the Federal Government and the abductors, he said that the only negotiation they had was that the abductors promised to drop the school by themselves which they did.
