January Transfer Window: Chelsea Lampard Close To Signing Declan Rice With Huge Cash

The January transfer window has officially opened with a lot of Premier League teams ready to spend big this summer. The likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and another top teams in the Premier League are ready to fortify their teams with better players across Europe to brighter their chances of winning this year premier league.

Information reaching us today my state news has it that Frank Lampard will table a lot of cash to bring Declan Rice to Chelsea if everything land very well Declan rice will be the first signing and this January transfer window.

Chelsea want to show their support for manager Frank Lampard by making a concerted effort to sign West Ham’s Declan Rice in the January transfer window.

Rice is a long-standing target for Lampard with the Blues boss eager to bring the player back to the Bridge following his seven-year stint in the academy between the ages of seven and 14.

The 21-year-old is now an established Premier League midfielder and England international, with 13 caps to his name.

Rice has racked up over 100 appearances in England top-flight for the Hammers and has regularly captained David Moyes’ team this season despite his young age.

And Lampard regards the midfielder, who can also play at centre-back, highly as he continues to reshape his squad following a summer spend north of £200million.

The addition of West Ham ace Rice could swell Chelsea’s recent spending by as much as another £100m but Ian McGarry, speaking on Reach PLC’s Transfer Window Podcast, says Granosvkaia will show the club’s support in their manager by making an effort to land the player in the winter window, and again in the summer if necessary.

Lampard has come under pressure recently with Chelsea having only won two of their last seven league games, losing three of their last five.

But the Londoners’ hierarchy are completely behind the former midfielder, who is the club’s all-time top goalscorer and one of the greatest players in the club’s history.

McGarry said: “Despite speculation to the contrary over Frank Lampard’s future as head coach at the club, it’s our information that he has the full confidence of Chelsea’s main director and defacto chief executive Marina Granosvkaia with regards to his tenure as manager of the club.

“That will be backed in January. First of all by offering Olivier Giroud, who is someone Lampard recognises and rates very highly as a key member of his squad, a new contract.

“Of course the club policy is not to offer any player over 30 more than a year. Giroud has six months left on his contract but negotiations will begin with his agent with regards to a one-year extension.
