Olivia Newton-John, the Australian singer and actress who made the world frontline when she featured in the hit movie “Grease”, has revealed she has been diagnosed with cancer for the third time.
She will be 70 in coming weeks. Olivia Newton-John revealed in an Interview with Australian TV programme ‘Sunday Night’ in which she said that she has spinal cancer. She previously had breast cancer in the 1990s and a new breast cancer which spread to her shoulder, the latter being treated in 2013.
She has since undergone radiation treatment and is also treating the disease with natural therapies such as the use of cannabis oil.
“I’m still treating it, and I’m treating it naturally and doing really well, yeah,” she told the network late Sunday from her home in California.
She added: “I’m one of the millions in this fight … in this journey. I see it as part of my … mission. I’m still treating it and I’m treating it naturally. And I’m doing really well.”
Newton-John said she has moments of despair but is keeping positive.
“There are moments. I’m human. So if I allow myself to go there, I could easily create that, you know, big fear,” she added.
