Ighalo reveals why Nigeria lost to Croatia in World cup opener

The Nigeria Striker Odion Ighalo has revealed the deep insights as to why Nigeria lost their opening match against Croatia. He blamed 3-2-3-1 formation that the super Eagle coach used for the match. Many of the players have also reacted to the Match Croatia vs Nigeria.

The former Watford striker noted that it was difficult for him to play as a lone striker in the game. He also proposed that Alex Iwobi should be moved to compliment him in the attack.

Ighalo reveals why Nigeria lost to Croatia

According to him it would be very difficulty to beat a formidable defense line and score goal with lone striker. he siad he was very disappointed in the match and many people blame the attacks for Super Eagle failure to score. Ighalo promised to have heart to heart talk with the Super Eagle coach Rohr.

Nigeria lost their first match 2-0 against the Croatia because of series of error committed by the Eagle. Etebo scored an own home that gave the Croatian the lead in the first half followed by the penalty committed by the Nigeria defender Troost Ekong.

Ighalo said the super Eagle did not make any chance for the team to score. he added that “It’s difficult to  play as a lone striker but the coach decides how we play” as Ighalo reveals why Nigeria lost to Croatia.
