I Would Have Dropped Out of School In JS2 If Not My Father – Yul Edochie

The Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has attributed his success in life and in Nollywood industry to his father, who is legendary Hollywood actor. He recounted how he would dropped out of school when he was in JSS2 if not the beating and intervention of his father.

Yul Edochie took to his Twitter to thank his father Pete Edochie for reseting his brian. He wrote: “In JS2, I told my father I didn’t want to go to school anymore, he should open electrical shop for me.
He said ok.
He Invited me to his room, locked the door & pulled out his belt.
He gave me a beating that reset my brain to factory setting.
Look at me today.
Thank you Dad!”

However, Nigerians reacted hilariously to the tweet, some of the reactions are given below:

A Twitter user wrote: I can imagine your father saying something like ‘if a log of wood falls inside the river and stay long enough there, it starts thinking of itself as a crocodile. I am the head of this house and you will do what I want which is, you return to school or get sacrificed to Amadioha’

Another person wrote: “But what gave you the mind to approach him? Do you know how much I fear your Dad while growing up even though I watch him from the comfort of our TV. Even the Chief Priests dey bfear him. I fear wetin no fear you oo”
