Simi, a musician from Nigeria, has asked her followers to be patient while she finishes up her upcoming album.

She explained that although she had three plans, life got in the way and they all fell through.

She also acknowledged that she doesn’t want to release subpar music because she frequently finds that when she does so under duress, she ends up disliking or regretting it.

Simi continued by assuring her fans that her album would be the one they needed this year.

“Army asking me when I’m dropping new new. I feel like I’m letting y’all down 😣 I had a plan. Actually like 3 plans – but life will life and you roll with the punches. And I don’t want to give you rubbish stuff.

“Just know My album this year will be the album you need from me. Everytime I’ve dropped a song because “time” – I’ve ended up not liking the song or regretting it lol. I’m not doing that anymore. Be patient with me.

“I think I’m just qoing to drop an album instead of singles actually. Maybe one single just right before.” She wrote.

“If you do well, you wouldn’t force people to support you”- Simi seemingly throws shade

 Simi has thrown a subtle shade at Nigerian President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Taking to the micro-blogging platform, Simi noted how the APC presidential candidate used force to make people support him.

The mother of one stated that if Tinubu had done well like he claimed, he wouldn’t need to use force on anyone to support him.

“If you do well and people love you, you won’t have to use fear and intimidation to force anyone to support you. Isn’t this common sense”.

Simi kicks against 2023 presidential election, says it was “blatantly corrupt”

Simi has expressed her disappointment with some of the incidents recorded in the 2023 Presidential and National Assembly election conducted last weekend.

Simi in a tweet she shared, said everyone should be fighting for justice and a free and fair election in spite of the political party they support.

The singer who also wondered how one can support this election which was “blatantly corrupt”, also pointed out that there were thugs and people were disenfranchised.

Simi tweeted;

“HOW CAN YOU EVEN SUPPORT ANYTHING THAT IS THIS BLATANTLY CORRUPT? DIDN’T YOU SEE THE CHAOS YESTERDAY. THE THUGS? THE DISENFRANCHISEMENT? REGARDLESS OF WHO YOU SUPPORT, SHOULDN’T ALL OF US BE FIGHTING FOR JUSTICE AND A FAIR ELECTION. WHAT IS YOUR PRIORITY? CAN’T YOU READ THE ROOM?”
