Fulham vs Arsenal Live, Line Up, Kick-Off Time And Prediction

The 2020/21 Premier League campaign gets underway this afternoon as Arsenal trip to Craven Cottage to face newly-promoted Fulham.

The Gunners will be aiming to make a winning start to Mikel Arteta’s first full season in charge of the north London side after the Spanish head coach was appointed as Unai Emery’s replacement back in December.

Mikel Arteta led Arsenal to the FA Cup trophy thanks to a 2-1 win against Chelsea last season before the Gunners beat defending Premier League champions Liverpool on penalties in the Community Shield.

The Gunners have signed Willian from Chelsea on a free transfer while bought Gabriel Magalhaes from Lille before Dani Ceballos rejoined the club on a season-long loanfrom Real Madrid for a second successive Premier League campaign.

Fulham, on the other hand, secured their return to the Premier League under Scott Parker thanks to their 2-1 victory over Brentford at Wembley.

A positive result against Arsenal, in that regard, could go a long way in boosting the camp’s confidence in what is going to be a strenuous campaign ahead. And of ahead of their latest meeting in the cup final at Craven Cottage, Sportarena takes a closer look at both the teams.

Team Teams and Tactics

Scott Parker has heading to new campaign will major boost as he will not be dealt with any injury-related absentees heading into this fixture.

He is also expected to hand out starts to new signings Kenny Tete and Alphonso Areola while the likes of Tom Cairney, Harrison Reed and Ivan Cavaleiro are all expected to feature in the starting lineup. Aleksandar Mitrovicwill lead the attack for the Cotaggers.

Probable Lineup (4-2-3-1): Areola; Tete, Hector, Ream, Bryan; Reed, Cairney;Knockaert, Onomah, Cavaleiro; Mitrovic

Mikel Arteta faces an injury crisis in the defensive department with the likes of Shkodran Mustafi, David Luiz, Pablo Mari and Calum Chambers all out injured.

William Saliba expected to make his Premier League debut while Gabriel Magalhaes is likely to start on the bench, meaning we could expect Kieran Tierney once again featuring as a centre-back. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, meanwhile, should retain his role at left-wing.

Probable Lineup (3-4-3): Leno; Holding, Saliba, Tierney; Bellerin, Ceballos, Xhaka, Saka; Pepe, Lacazette, Aubameyang.

Key Men

Fulham will be pinning their hopes on striker Mitrovic as they look to salvage at least a point in this fixture.

The newly-promoted are likely to play on the counter, meaning the physical and the aerial prowess of the Serbian could be useful, and the depleted Arsenal defence should be keeping a close eye on him this weekend.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is, without a doubt, the most lethal weapon Arsenal have in their armoury.

The 31-year-old Gabon international has also been in remarkable form, having notably netted the only goal in the draw with Liverpool in the Community Shield.

His intelligent movements from the left-hand channel could make life difficult for the Fulham defence.

Kick-off at 12:30PM
