Igboland has its first and second cases of coronavirus after Enugu State joins the leagues of States that recorded a coronavirus pandemic.
The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control NCDC announced 11 new cases of coronavirus in Nigeria which takes the total cases of the virus jumped to 81. With Enugu recorded two cases, breaking down the 11 new cases recorded in Nigeria, the NCDC noted that the eleven new cases were recorded in are in Lagos, Enugu and Edo State
“11 new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria: 8 in Lagos, 2 in Enugu & 1 in Edo State
“As at 11:55 pm 27th March, there are 81 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria.
“ 3 have been discharged with 1 death,” it added.

The Southeast the home of all Ndigbo now has two cases of coronavirus, the Enugu State Government through the State Permanent Secretary of Health Ministry, Dr Ifeanyi Agujiobi disclosed that
patients voluntarily contacted the Enugu State Ministry of Health on arrival from the United Kingdom (UK) and requested for the COVID-19 test which came out positive.
“So far, the patients have remained in isolation and the Enugu State Multi-Sectoral Rapid Response Team has commenced contact tracing.
“The Enugu State Government expresses her gratitude to these patients who reported to the Enugu State Ministry of Health following the announcement that all returnees from overseas in the last 14 days should report for evaluation.
