Fire-outbreak Destroyed Ibadan Radio Station

Broadcasting instruments and Properties that worth several million were been destroyed when as a fire broke out of no-where, in about a distance of one meter away from the newly established online radio station, which is been located at Agidigbo society, as it went up in flames at Monatan, area of Ibadan.

The incident, which drew the attention of hundreds of residents, which also caused a stir as people ran over the fear of the fire spreading to other buildings in the area.

The station was said to have been under locks and keys as of the time of the incident.

The proprietor of Agidigbo FM is Dr Oriyomi Hamzat, a popular broadcaster in the city Ibanda.

The Director of Oyo State Fire Service, Moshood Adewuyi, said the fire station was alerted around 11 am this morning.

According to him, firemen were been mobilised to the scene following a distress call by residents of the community in the early hours of Saturday.
