Fayose cries out i did not receive N1.3bn from NSA

Former Governor of Ekiti State Ayodele Fayose has disclosed that he did not receive the sum of N1.3bn from the Office of the National Security Adviser through a former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, during the build-up to the 2014 governorship election in Ekiti State.

Fayose submitted himself to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Tuesday accompanied by some members of PDP.

However, Fayose denied the allegations levelled against him by EFCC that he received N1.3bn from NSA.

The commission has asked Fayose to write a statement to admit that he collected N1.3bn from the Office of the National Security Adviser but the former Governor does not ready to admit such.

EFCC also asked Fayose to return the money.

Mystatenews learnt that Fayose denied all the allegation despite the overwhelming evidence made by the commission indicating that Fayose received money from the Office of the National Security Adviser through a former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, during the build-up to the 2014 governorship election in Ekiti State.
