The third bunch of Nigerians abandoned in the United Kingdom (UK) will show up on Tuesday, The Nation has learnt.
No less than 584 Nigerians were rescheduled for clearing.
The Nigerians In Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) declared the take – off the flight Tuesday morning in a tweet.
As per the tweet, the flight is relied upon to show up the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja.
The tweet peruses: “The Third bunch of Nigeria Nationals boarding at London Gatwick Airport.
“The flight was rescheduled from thirteenth to fourteenth of July because of the arrival freedom issues by
“They will show up Nnamdi Azikiwe Int’l Airport Abuja later today to continue on a multi day SELF ISOLATION as madanted by
@NCDCgov and Presidential Task Force on #Covid_19.”
The departure of abandoned Nigerians from the United Kingdom endured a deferral in light of the fact that the UK government denied Nigeria’s Air Peace landing license, the Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama, said Sunday night.
Air Peace carrier which had cleared more than 300 Nigerians from the UK about a fortnight back, therefore, looked for an option by wet-rent airplane from a UK organization, Air Partner, to transport the abandoned Nigerians, rather than discounting their installments.
