Ekiti State House Of Assembly Approved N10billion Supplementary Appropriation Presented By Fayose

Fresh reports claim that the Ekiti State House of Assembly has on Thursday, September 13, approved the N10 billion supplementary appropriation presented to it by the Governor, Ayodele Fayose.

The lawmakers reportedly approved the budget on Thursday. At a sitting which started at 12pm on Wednesday, 14 lawmakers, including Oluwawole, the speaker, went through the proposal within an hour and passed it.

After receiving the proposal, Kola Oluwole, the speaker, recalled lawmakers who had been on recess since July 16, instructing them to start working on the document immediately.

The appropriation bill forwarded to the House of Assembly by Governor Fayose had generated furore, with the governor-elect, Kayode Fayemi threatening serious consequences for whoever partakes in what he described as the fraudulent action. After receiving the proposal, Kola Oluwole, the speaker, recalled lawmakers who had been on recess since July 16, giving them directions them to start working on the document.
