Chelsea vs Norwich City: Chelsea Line-up Killer Squad against Norwich City

The Blues will continue their pursuit for a top-four finish in the English Premier League when they welcome already relegated Norwich City side at the Stamford Bridge in one of the midweek fixtures.

The Londoners will go into the game on the back of a 3-0 defeat in the hands of Sheffield United.

The loss haunts their qualification for the UEFA Champions League, but they now have the opportunity to redeem themselves with the Norwich game.

Frank Lampard’s side is third in the league table despite the defeat to Sheffield United as Southampton pegged back Manchester United with a late show to earn a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford. how the home side could line-up in London against Daniel Farke’s Norwich side.

Out of the game is Billy Gilmour over a knee injury.

Doubtful; N’golo Kante (hamstring), Fikayo Tomori (muscle).

French midfield star, N’Golo Kante has been absent in Chelsea’s last two games with a hamstring issue and it is uncertain he would be featured in midweek against Norwich City. The World Cup winner (Russia 2018) is gradually closing in on a return to match fitness.

However, it could be a shocking decision from Frank Lampard to keep Kante out of the Norwich tie with the view to rest him ahead of the FA Cup semi-final clash against Manchester United on Sunday.

Croatia’s Mateo Kovacic was among the substitutes on the bench against Sheffield United after recovering from an injury he sustained, and the former Real Madrid star could return to the starting line-up on Tuesday possibly at the expense of Juventus linked midfielder, Jorginho.

There are likely to be personnel changes for the Blues aftermath of the clash with the Blades. And this could mean that striker Olivier Giroud and defender Antonio Rudiger could start in the game.

24-year-old midfield player, Ruben Loftus-Cheek is expected to be in contention for a starting berth. Blues boss, Lampard is expected to resist the prompting to rest players ahead of the Manchester United cracker at the weekend.

All the same, the likes of Christian Pulisic, Willian Borges, and Cesar Azpilicueta are set to feature once again for Chelsea against Norwich.

Chelsea’s line-up against Norwich City in a designated 4-3-3 formation scheme will look like this: Kepa Arrizabalaga; Reece James, Andreas Christensen, Antonio Rudiger, Cesar Azpilicueta; Mateo Kovacic, Ross Barkley, Mason Mount; Willian Borges, Olivier Giroud, Christian Pulisic.
