Chelsea approach for Real Madrid winger
Vinicius Junior is facing questions over his future at Real Madrid, with Chelsea reported to have been the last club to enquire about the availability of the Brazilian winger.
The 20-year-old failed to make it off the bench in Real Madrid’s Champions League last-16 defeat to Manchester City, leading some to question what role he will play in Zinedine Zidane’s side going forward.
AS (via Sport Witness) claims Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain have shown interest in Vinicius in the past, but that it was Chelsea who last lodged their interest, having made contact with Real Madrid as recently as November.
Signed for €40m from Flamengo, Vinicius is seen as a future face of the Santiago Bernabeu club, but could find himself squeezed out due to the stiff competition for attacking places.
