Chelsea winger Eden Hazard is now a major doubt for the Blues in their next game against Burnley.
The Blues managed to salvage a point against Manchester United on Saturday, thanks to Ross Barkley’s 96th-minute equalizer. The match was heading for a defeat to Sarri’s men but the former Everton star saved his best for the last as his last-minute shot prevented the Stamford Bridge outfits from suffering their first defeat of the season
Though Maurizio Sarri is happy with the result, he is definitely not happy that his most lively and in-form player Eden Hazard was injured during the game.
According to the Mirror, the Belgian versatile winger, who can play as a playmaker, injured his back during the Stamford Bridge’s interesting encounter.
The report also confirms that the Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has decided to rest Hazard ahead of their Europa League’s clash with Bate on Thursday.
The former Napoli tactician is reportedly set to give Victor Moses the chance to feature on Thursday after leaving the Nigerian out of his squad list on Saturday.
It remains unknown the intensity of Hazard’s injury but Sarri is hoping to have the 28-year-old back to full fitness before their must-win encounter against Burnley at the Turf Moore Stadium on Sunday.
Chelsea currently sit second on the log, two points behind Liverpool who are unbeaten after 9 round of matches
