Buhari expresses shock, grief over Emir of Zazzau’s loss of life
PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari has expressed surprise and grief over the death of the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris.
President Buhari in a condolence message to Governor Nasir el-Rufai, the authorities and those of Kaduna kingdom, stated the country has lost one in all its longest monarchs.
According to him, “With the passing of Alhaji Shehu Idris, Nigeria has misplaced one in all its longest-reigning conventional monarchs whose contributions to the promoting of unity and non violent coexistence among Nigerians can’t be forgotten for years to come.
‘The Emir of Zazzau who ascended to the throne in 1975, had used his long reign to serve his humans with determination and recognized with their aspirations always.”
President Buhari in a assertion issued via his Senior special Assistant on Media and publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, prayed to God to forgive the overdue Emir and furnish his own family and subjects the fortitude to endure the loss.
