The chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, Prof Mahood Yakubu has insisted that the political campaign for the Nigeria’s general election which closed on Thursday remain closed despite the postponement of the election for one week.
The INEC chairman made this known during the news briefing at the International Conference in Abuja. He explained the main reason why the election has to be moved by one week.
He entertained questions from different quarters and thoroughly answered each of the questions satisfactorily. Among the questions was whether the commission will allow the political campaign to continue since the election has been moved to one week.
The answer given was that “Political campaign remains closed.
