Breaking: INEC Withdraws Iheodioha’s Certificate of Return, Gives Reason

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has withdrawn the certificate of return issued to the Imo State Governor-elect Emeka Ihedioha after the commission revealed the complaint made by 20 political parties in the State.

The commission headquarters revealed the declaration of Emeka Ihedioha of the People Democratic Party PDP as the winner of the Governorship election in Imo State by the Returning Officer in Imo State. The INEC National Body disclosed that the declaration has been done with error as Emeka Ihedioha has not met the constitutional requirement to be declared as Governor.

“Emeka Ihedioha did not get the required 25 per cent of two-thirds of the LGAs.”

Detail later.
