The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) officials, on Saturday, stormed the polling unit of the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.
Officials of the anti-graft agency were spotted at the polling unit at Sunday Adigun Street, Alausa, Ikeja area of Lagos in the morning before Tinubu cast his vote.
It was gathered that the EFCC officials were there to checkmate incidents of vote-buying.
Many people were surprised to see the EFCC officials at the unit, but nobody was arrested.
Concise News reports that Senator Remi Tinubu, had told Lagosians to “Show me your hand, get the money.”
Tinubu said this on Saturday after casting her votes in the governorship and state Assembly elections at Polling Unit 034, Falomo Police Barracks IV, Ikoyi, Lagos.
The Senator who was re-elected two weeks ago, was besieged by a crowd of people after casting her ballot.
Speaking to the crowd making monetary demands from her, she said, “Show me your hand, get the money.”
She spoke in pidgin English, Yoruba and Itsekiri languages, but said she was not into vote-buying.
