President Buhari has dropped the plan to appoint the past Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode as the Minister representing Lagos and has settled for the past Minister of Works, Housing and Estate, Babatunde Fashola.
My State News learnt that President Buhari who has promised to unveil his Ministerial list this Month has vowed to the Governing Council in Lagos state headed by the National leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Tinubu to drop Ambode and re-appoint Fashola as Minister who will represent Lagos State.
According to a leaked report, President Buhari has constantly rejected the recommendations from Bola Tinubu for the Minister who will have Lagos slot. The President has insisted on listing the immediate past Governor of Lagos State, Akinwumi Ambode for the slot. There is a secret cold war between Tinubu and President Buhari which desperately keeping from the public domain.
Buhari has reconsidered his plan to put Ambode forward despite the rejection from the Lagos State chapter, and after the due consultation, Fashola will be retained as Lagos State Minister.
