Bauchi Senatorial bye election result: APC leads in all Seven local governments

The Bauchi Senatorial bye election result released so far gave the All Progressives Congress candidate Lawal Yahaya Gumau the lead. The election which was held today today will see Lawal Yahaya Gumau fill the vacuum left behind by Ali Wakili.

The election started in a very low key as voters turnout was unimpressive. Apart from low voter turnout, INEC card reader machine failed in many apart of the polling units.

Late arrival of election officials delayed the commencement of accreditation of voters which was scheduled to commence at ‪8am‬. Most of the officials arrived the polling unit between 9 to 9:30am.

All well and done, The unofficial Bauchi Senatorial bye election result coming in suggests that the APC candidate has won the Senate seat.

The Independence Electoral Commission INEC has not released the result of the election yet. it will be officially release tomorrow or latest on Monday.

Our reporter who moved around the Seven Local Government said the election was free of violence unlike the one conducted in Kogi State.

The Bauchi Senatorial bye-election was generally peaceful but marred by low voters turnout.

APC candidate Lawal Yahaya Gumau is currently leading in all affected seven local governments.
