Atiku Abubakar will face the incumbent President Buhari in 2019 Presidential election. The former Vice President has challenged the Buhari that he will defeat him in a free and fair contest.
Atiku Abubakar defeated the likes of Senate President Bukola Saraki, Governor of Sokoto State Tambuwal and the rest to clinch the ticket of the People Democratic Party.
Atiku will test his popularity against President Buhari in next year General election. He believes he has what it takes to beat the incumbent President Buhari.

Two of them have run for the same position before. While Atiku Abubakar contested under the platform of Action Congress, Buhari runs under the platform of All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP). Both lost to Umaru Yar’Adua of People Democratic Party.
The second coming of Atiku Abubakar is under the platform of the People Democratic Party to face the ruling All Progressives Congress APC candidate Muhammadu Buhari.
