Appeal court freezes Fayose’s account. The court of Appeal sitting in Ado Ekiti in Ekiti State has directed the freezing of account of Ayodele Fayose the Governor of Ekiti State.
Appeal court freezes Fayose’s account
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had frozen the account of the Governor in 2016 but Mr Fayose ran to the Federal High Court in Ado Ekiti and the court ordered the account to be unfreeze. That did not go well with EFCC, the commission filed an appeal against the judgment of Justice Taiwo. O Taiwo of Federal High Court, Ado Ekiti division.
Although the Mr Fayose had withdraw N5m and also transfered 75k to his lawyer Mr. Mike Ozekhome SAN. from the account.
The lead judge to the three-man appeal court panel, Honourable Justice J.S Ikeyegha directed the freezing of the account of Mr. Fayose forthwith.
