Anxiety as Monkeypox hits Lagos State. There are two suspected cases of Monkeypox recorded in Lagos is according to Lagos State commissioner for Health, Dr.  Jide Idris. Fear has grip residents of Lagos State as Monkey pox hits Lagos.

The Punch news report that the Commissioner of Health disclosed this at a news conference on Monday, saying that the two suspected cases were currently under observation in health facilities  in the state.

Though no confirmed case has been recorded, there is need to sensitise members of the public and provide adequate information on measures for prevention and control of the disease in line with the policy of the State government,” he said.

The virus first hit Bayelsa State where about 12 cases were recorded. Now that the Monkey pox has made its way to Lagos State. There is a need to learn how to avoid the spread of Monkey pox virus.
