Alleged N1.3 bn fraud: Fayose has started confessing – EFCC

The detained Ayodele Fayose has started opening up on the allegation of  N1.3bn fraud levelled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC.

Fayose was not ready to open up until it was obvious that EFCC has obtained court order to keep him for another 14 days in their custody.

Mystatenews learnt that Fayose has surprisingly opened up on the matter at hand.

A close source from EFCC discloses to us that “Fayose has surprisingly begun talking and we hope he can open up on all the issues we are putting to him relating to the ONSA cash of N1.3 billion and the issue of alleged kickbacks from contractors.”

But since arriving the EFCC interrogation centre, sources hinted that Fayose rebuffed all attempts by the security operatives to talk, forcing the agency to approach a court to obtain a detention warrant to keep in beyond 24 hours
